G. Economou: 177,000 sets of robotics will be available in schools for children aged 4-15

The government spokesman, Giannis Oikonomou, mentions the project of supplying robotics sets for schools, in a post on Twitter.

“In the final stretch is the budget project of 30 million Euros for the robotics & STEM equipment in our schools through the National Recovery & Sustainability Plan”, says Mr. Oikonomou, in his post, and points out: “With a plan more than 177,000 robotics sets for children aged 4-15 “.

The project concerns, that is, kindergarten, elementary and high school students and the robotics sets will be adapted according to age group and learning needs. In this way, the digital transformation of education is strengthened, as sources emphasize, while other actions in the same direction are complemented, such as the Digital Care program.

Educational robotics has been included in the compulsory school curriculum from this school year through the Skills Workshops, in kindergarten, elementary and high school, while targeted training of teachers in these innovative teaching methods is also provided.
