Government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou responded to Alexis Tsipras’s post a little later, noting: “From the serious to the ridiculous, the distance is small – but from the ridiculous to the serious, the distance is huge.

It is revealing of Mr. Tsipras’s political lightness that he chooses to make humor, bad in fact, by educating our children in the midst of a pandemic. Ultimately, the true character of a politician is indeed evident from what he finds funny.

PS: When Mr. Tsipras decides to write something in English, let him at least have someone check it. ”
