A line to highlight the dividing lines between the government and SYRIZA is drawn and follows the Maximos Palace.
After the relevant reports of the Prime Minister, at the pre-conference of New Democracy in Heraklion, Crete, today it was the turn of the government representative to highlight the differences of policy, strategy, thought and result, on the occasion of the conclusion of the official opposition congress.
“The SYRIZA congress was exhausted in the effort to settle balances and clear internal party accounts. Whether it achieved its goal does not seem to be entirely clear and in any case does not concern us. What is absolutely clear is that once again it was seen the huge distance that separates Mr. Tsipras and SYRIZA from today’s problems and the challenges of tomorrow… For SYRIZA, the party is above the homeland and society κ Mr. Tsipras neither wants nor can offer the “at least in the homeland”, said Mr. Oikonomou, during the briefing of the journalists. The government spokesman, after a relevant question, also commented on Androulakis’s statements, stating that “neither Mr. Mitsotakis nor Mr. Tsipras will see us as prime minister again.” Economou’s answer was extremely sharp. “Mr. Androulakis told us that he does not want to. It would be better for him to clarify to us what he wants,” he noted.
“We believe that what is required for a country is stability. And autonomous governments are the ones that guarantee stable and more effective governance. This is our view and belief. That is why we have changed the electoral law of simple proportional… No matter what we believe “We and what everyone is invoking, the Greek people have the final say. In a year from today, when we will have national elections, the citizens with their vote will shape the characteristics on the basis of which the country will be governed,” he stressed. .
The government spokesman said the fuel subsidy platform would open later in the week. “The parameters when discussed and decided will be announced by the prime minister himself. The process is moving in parallel with the great effort made by the prime minister and other leaders at European Union level. There will always be support as long as the problem lasts in the energy. “We have announcements when we are ready and corresponding. It is clear that the government’s decision is that, if there is no European response and in time timely and quickly, there will be a national plan for another decisive intervention in the price of electricity,” he said.
On Holy Wednesday, the special financial aid will be paid to the low-income pensioners and the uninsured elderly, as well as to the beneficiaries of the disability allowance, the Minimum Guaranteed Income and the Child Allowance. As announced by Mr. Economou, it will be paid:
-Extraordinary financial assistance of 200 euros to approximately 677,000 low-income pensioners, 167,000 beneficiaries of disability benefits and 35,000 uninsured elderly citizens.
-Double installment of the Minimum Guaranteed Income, to approximately 240,000 beneficiaries.
One-time financial assistance – corresponding to an additional one and a half monthly installment of the allowance – to 625,000 families receiving child allowance.
The total amount of the intervention is estimated at 324 million euros and concerns 1.7 million beneficiaries, about 1.4 million households, with more than 3.2 million members.
From OAED-DYPA, the following payments will be made:
-9 million euros to 23,000 beneficiaries for the payment of unemployment benefits and other benefits.
-27 million euros to 16,000 beneficiaries under subsidized employment programs.
