Meeting and cooperation of the Minister of Rural Development and Food, George Georgantas with the Minister of Agricultural Products and Trade of Malaysia, Zuraida Kamaruddin, took place today at the Ministry of Agriculture.
At the working meeting of the two ministers, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, views were exchanged on trade and employment in the agri-food sector between the two countries.
Also discussed were the possibilities of further expansion and strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, in particular in the export of Greek agricultural products, the issue of land workers, as well as alternative supply of the Greek market with animal feed and agricultural supplies.
It should be noted that there has been particular interest in the palm oil market as Malaysia is the largest producer in the world.
It was agreed between the two delegations the systematic communication and exchange of additional data and information, in order to take the necessary advantage of the opportunities that emerged for the development and promotion of cooperation between Greece and Malaysia in the agri-food sector.
