G. Katrougalos: A big mistake of Mr. Mitsotakis that he overthrew a timeless doctrine of Greek foreign policy

The “big mistake” of Kyriakos Mitsotakis “to overthrow a timeless dogma of Greek foreign policy” referred to the Foreign Minister of SYRIZA-PS George Katrougalos, during the thematic table entitled International-War that took place today, in the context of the 3rd of the party.

As G. Katrougalos said, this “doctrine”, which began with the visit of Konstantinos Karamanlis to Moscow in 1979, refers to a Greece “that appears on the international stage as a pillar of stability and an exporter of stability and security, as a peaceful country.” , a follower of international law “. He even clarified that it is not a country of “equal distances”, having a “political house”, the EU, which “seeks”, but to be a “bridge between its political house and other great powers”.

In this context, he accused the prime minister of wanting to “return to the traditional right-wing transfer of Greece as an advanced western outpost”, making the country part of the Ukrainian crisis and not part of the “solution”, “like Turkey”.

Finally, G. Katrougalos stressed that the goal must be the end of the war and that “those who want regime change” in Russia, in essence, “are ready to sacrifice the Ukrainian people for their own political aspirations.”

The thematic table was also attended by the coordinator of the Department of International Relations of SYRIZA Nektarios Bougdanis, the former Minister of National Defense Evangelos Apostolakis, the Associate Professor of Comparative Policy at Panteion University Marilena Koppitos and the Director of the University.
