This was underlined by the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Giannis Plakiotakis, speaking at the High Level Conference on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), which takes place on 16 and 17 June at the Organization’s headquarters in Lisbon .
“As always,” said Plakiotakis, “Greece remains committed to the basic principles of the IMO to promote a safe environment for ships and seafarers.” EMSA, “he continued,” in its 20 years of operation, national administrations operate and interact at sea.
