The minister said that institutional measures strengthened the competitiveness of Greek shipping and the Greek registry, adding that “we supported seafarers and coastal shipping, one of the sectors that have been hit and continue to be affected in this particularly difficult budget period and strengthened the Coast Guard. with personnel and means, thus increasing its business capabilities “.

The Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, referring to the NSRF 21-27 and especially Crete, said that “in agreement with the European Commission, there will be multi-year contracts for the launch of green ships, in the framework of our national plan for the carbonization of shipping”, describing an extensive plan interventions “which creates conditions but also conditions so that Crete can be the flagship of maritime and blue development”.
