G. Tsakiris: For 2022 and 2023, the EBRD plans even greater funding

“The EBRD’s contribution to the recovery of the Greek economy has been and continues to be catalytic, especially in critical sectors such as energy and general market liquidity through smart financial instruments such as trade facilitation for small and medium enterprises. For 2022 and “In 2023, the EBRD is planning even greater funding.”

This was noted by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Giannis Tsakiris in a post on social media, on the occasion of his participation in the general meeting of the governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) held in Morocco.

Specifically, the Undersecretary states the following:

“I participated in the general meeting of the governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) that took place these days in Morocco.

The first topic of discussion was the invasion of Ukraine and the ways in which the Bank can support the economies of both Ukraine and other affected countries.

The strategic and capital program of the bank until 2025 was also approved, as well as a program for the reconstruction of Ukraine amounting to 1 billion euros.

For 2021, the EBRD has invested 840 million euros in the Greek economy and especially in the private sector, contributing significantly to the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of our country’s GDP.

The EBRD’s contribution to the recovery of the Greek economy has been and continues to be catalytic, especially in critical areas such as energy and general market liquidity through smart financial instruments such as trade facilitation for small and medium enterprises. “For 2022 and 2023, the EBRD is planning even greater funding.”
