G. Varoufakis: Commitment to establish a Social Housing Organization

On the occasion of the European Housing Day, the secretary of MERA25 Giannis Varoufakis notes, in a statement, that “the monster of accuracy darkens the minds of people by hitting them from three sides: PPC, supermarket and rent”.

And, yes, “the housing problem is not there today, rents have been on fire for a long time because of Airbnb, golden visas, gold visas, speculators”, however, “now it has gotten worse. The problem will not be solved by either “Only with the increase of the housing supply through the construction of social housing will it be solved. In MERA25 we denounce the shame that Greece is one of the few countries that does not have a Social Housing Organization”, says G. Varoufakis and submits the commitment of MERA25 that “we will establish a Social Housing Organization. This is what the common mind demands. This is what the social interest demands”.
