Leaders of the G20, a group that brings together the largest economies in the world, took the official photo with representatives of the bloc’s countries and guests this Monday (18), in Rio de Janeiro.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) arrived at the photo location walking alongside Emmanuel Macron, president of France.
At the time of the photo, the Brazilian head of state stood next to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa. Brazil is the Presidency of the G20, while India presided over the group in 2023, and India will take command in 2025.

Joe Biden, President of the United States, and Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, were not present for the photo.
Also close to Lula were the president of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Xi Jinping, president of China. It was possible to see Macron and Javier Milei, president of Argentina, talking and laughing in the row behind Lula.
