The singer Gaby Amarantos 46, used social media, this Friday (8), to confirm the end of her marriage to the Englishman Gareth Jones .
Gaby said she wanted to talk about the subject for a long time, but she doesn’t like to comment on her personal life.
“I prefer to talk about my music, about when I win an award, but sometimes it is necessary to rip off some bandages and deal with things that have been hurting for a long time”, began the artist in a post on Instagram.
She thanked her fans for their messages of affection and said that she has been separated for over a year, since June 12, 2023.
“It’s a difficult, painful thing, you have a life plan, a family project, I imagined I would live with it for the rest of my life. So, I’m not here to talk about what happened”, he said.
The singer clarified that there was no betrayal, and that the two have a respectful and loving relationship, as her son has a relationship with him.
“In order for us to preserve our family, we held on as much as we could [..] When he started this relationship with the person he is with, I was the first to know and I was very happy”, he stated.
“I never experienced singleness, I came from many abusive relationships and this was the first one that taught me the most, built me, taught me to be a better person. I wanted to ask for privacy, respect, don’t speculate”, asked the singer.
Gaby also reassured her fans and said that she is fine and taking care of herself. Furthermore, she clarified that her weight loss process has nothing to do with the separation.
“Now, I have more time, being able to take care of myself, take care of my head, my education, and knowing more and more and strengthening myself to be the artist you deserve”, concluded the artist.
