THE CNN the singer Gaby Amarantos 46, revealed what the public can expect from his show at Rock in Rio 2024. The statement was made on the night of last Tuesday (3), during Spotiy’s 10th anniversary party in Brazil.
Known as one of the greatest representatives of tecnobregra, that is, the union of the “brega” genre, native to Pará, with the beats of “techno”, the artist will perform on the Palco Mundo stage on September 21, on Brazil Day – a special date that celebrates Brazilian diversity in the festival’s 40th anniversary.
“Rock in Rio, people! I’m going to be on the World Stage for the first time, my God. I don’t even have the clothes for it,” he joked.
According to Gaby, it is important to bring the rhythm to the event. “I am preparing [algo] so that people can get a taste of this movement that is being talked about so much, of tecnobrega, of aparelhagem. I have been doing this for a while now, but only now is Brazil understanding it,” he said.
“So, we will arrive asking for permission, affection, care, opening the way and parading on the road that we paved. That’s it,” he added.

THE Rock in Rio 2024 will take place between September 13 and 22, 2024, and is expected to receive 700,000 people from Cidade do Rock. Names such as Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Iza, Joss Stone, Travis Scott, Ivete Sangalo, Akon and Ne-Yo are some of the names confirmed for the edition.
