A hymn to fantasy, to the dream. A white and fluid body extends slowly on the surface of a sheet, pushes itself in the distance and then returns to approach. To define it, a simple black stroke on a white background: it is Fantasy by Gaia Alari, one of the three video animations protagonists of the seventh edition of Galleria Cracco, The public art project – thanks to the vision of Umberta Gnutti Beretta, Carlo Cracco and Paride Vitale – which inaugurated on April 1, in the lunettes of the Cracco restaurant in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.

SimonabrunophotoAfter bringing the works of in the famous Milanese gallery Valerio Berruti, Goldschmied & Chiari, Masbedo, Giovanni Ozzola, Marinella Senator And Patrick TuttoFuoco, The lunettes of the restaurant return to light up, after a year of pause, thanks to the preparation of the works of the artist edited by Annalisa Inzana and Chiara Pozzi. Until 1st May 2025in the three windows overlooking Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Gaia Alari presents Three different video video animations projected loop.
Fantasywhich gives the title to the entire exhibition, is a traditional animation designed on paper, a work that tells the space and time through the movements of a body on the limited surface of a sheet. The second animation is titled The Space Between and was made in 2024 for the group’s concert indie English Porridge Radio At the Center Pompidou in Paris. Drawn on paper, frame on framethe video is the exploration of a movement similar to that of the waves, in which a female figure, symbolically identified by a swallow, proceeds in a labyrinth of shapes by changing itself. A work that expresses the feeling of the continuous and circular path of an intrusive thought, in which each image generates another, breaking down and recomposing itself indefinitely.
The last work exposed, Unparalleledis an unpublished specifically made for this occasion, in which figures of women and flying sirens, in a circular and infinite dance, build a reflection on archetypes and code languages, on the way, since children, we link abstract emotions to the images.
