The Israeli actress Gal Gadot 39, he reported feeling afraid of dying when he discovered a clot in his brain while he was pregnant with his youngest daughter.
The star is the mother of soul, 13, Maya, 7, Daniella, 3, and Ori, 1, fruits of her marriage to Jaron Varsano. Just before the birth of the youngest, she felt intense headaches, something that was initially treated like a migraine.
“I was eight months pregnant and it was my fourth baby. This time, I had strong headaches that completely knocked me. I was in bed, unable to hear or see anything. I stayed all day, with a hot water bag for 24 hours in a row,” she said in an interview with The Drew Barrymore Show.
After no improvement, the “Snow White” actress sought different experts, but none of them asked for more detailed exams.
“And it was just getting worse, getting worse and getting worse. I went through several doctors and neurologists, and they said, ‘It is probably a strong migraine.’ None of them referred me to magnetic resonance imaging even when we suggested before.”
The diagnosis was closed only when the artist insisted on the image exam.
“Always advocate for your health. Always. Listen to your body, fight your health. At worst, you will only have examined too much, and that’s not a problem. In my case, I did the resonance and we were immediately taken to the hospital. I had a great clot in the brain.”
The brain clot – which can be venous thrombosis or a hemorrhagic stroke, although Gal has not specified the type – was an imminent risk to it.
“If I had had a spontaneous birth, I wouldn’t be here. It was all this here [aponta para uma região da cabeça]15 centimeters and five centimeters, three different clots. And it was the first time I felt what it means to be afraid of dying. And once again, if I knew before, [os médicos] They could simply have prescribed anticoagulants and that’s it. ”
The actress took the opportunity to make others aware, saying that any symptoms should be investigated with appropriate exams.
“Three out of every 100,000 pregnant women will have a clot in the brain. But if you feel any symptoms, just do exams. MRI is very simple and has no radiation or anything.”
