Galaxy Digital experts suggested that officials would need a long time to analyze all possible risks.
“The US authorities will not buy Bitcoin in 2025. However, there will be a certain movement in ministries and departments towards studying an expanded cryptocurrency reservation policy,” the analysts explained.
According to experts, the bill previously proposed by Senator Cynthia Lummis, if approved and entered into force, will allow the United States to accumulate up to 1 million bitcoins and increase the price of the asset several times.
Competition between states and large companies in the quest to create Bitcoin reserves may intensify, and they may add cryptocurrency to their assets in the very near future, Galaxy Digital believes.
Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said that it is too early to create a strategic state reserve in bitcoins, since it is not clear how exactly to implement this idea.
