“Game of Thrones” actress explains why she can’t watch “House of the Dragon”

The British actress Emilia Clarke 37, known for bringing the iconic Daenerys Targaryen to life in “Game of Thrones” surprised fans by revealing that he still hasn’t managed to watch the spin-off “House of the Dragon” and shared the reasons in an interview with the magazine People.

“I still can’t [assistir ao programa]. I just don’t know why,” she said, adding that she has fond memories of her time on the HBO fantasy series, and that makes watching the new show strange.

“I feel so content and happy with my experience, that I think watching the new one would just be really weird,” he explained.

Despite this, the British actress celebrated the success that the spin-off has had among fans.

“I really fully support everything and everyone who has done this, and it’s beautiful how successful it has been. It’s absolutely incredible,” praised the star.

In 2023, the actress had already reported that it would be “strange” and “weird” to watch the series.

“It’s very weird. I’m so happy it’s happening. I’m over the moon with all the awards… I just can’t do it. It’s very weird. It’s really weird,” she confessed to Variety at the time.

Emilia compared the feeling of watching the new production to that of participating in a school meeting that is not part of her group.

“It’s like someone said, ‘Do you want to go to this school reunion that’s not in your year? Do you want to go to this school reunion?’ This is how I feel. I’m avoiding it,” she admitted.
