Nvidia has unveiled a new data plan for its GeForce Now cloud gaming service. It’s called the RTX 3080 and costs $ 100 for six months.
The new tariff plan complements the two previous ones: Free, which provides basic access to the service for free, but with a number of restrictions, and Priority, which costs $ 50 for six months and provides full access to the service.
What is the difference between the new tariff? In an improved picture. While Priority provides the ability to play Full HD at 60 fps, the RTX 3080 will provide gaming up to 4K at 120 fps. True, there are nuances.
So, the new service became available thanks to the fact that Nvidia has expanded its servers with GeForce NOW SuperPOD systems. They are known to rely on Ryzen Threadripper Pro processors and Ampere generation graphics cards, but Nvidia does not say which ones. Apparently, this is still the RTX 3080.
As a result, users who choose the new tariff will have access to eight-hour gaming sessions instead of six-hour sessions. For PCs and Macs, up to 1440p @ 120fps is available, and Shield TV owners can play up to 4K with HDR and 60fps.
The new tariff is available in a limited mode and, of course, not in all countries. In Russia, access to GeForce Now is provided by GFN.ru – it does not have a new tariff.
