Blue Sun Innovations (BSI) has developed a trackball that it says will meet the demands of gamers. After five years of development, the GameBall Limited Edition was released in June this year and is already out of print. And now the manufacturer has introduced its massive version of the GameBall Standard Edition.
The trackball uses a 38.1mm ball and PixArt optical sensor. There are five resolutions available: 400, 800, 1200, 2000 and 3000 dpi. The trackball is equipped with six buttons. They use Omron switches. The symmetrical shape of the device makes it equally suitable for right or left hand use. The USB interface is used for connection. The polling rate is 1000 Hz. The device measures 162 x 119 x 52 mm and weighs 230 g. Since it is aimed at gamers, the developers did not forget to add RGB lighting.
The list of compatible OS includes Windows 7 or later, Mac OS X 10.8 or later, “popular” Linux distributions, Chrome OS, and Android 5 or later. The game trackball GameBall Standard Edition is priced at $ 148 by the manufacturer.
