Next soap opera at 6, “Girl of the Moment” will be the replacement for “No Rancho Fundo”. Written by Alessandra Poggi, the period plot will star Duda Reis and Maisa Silva.
At the center of the story — which will take place in the late 1950s — will be the Alencar family. Owner of Perfumaria Carioca, one of the largest soap factories in the country, they are also responsible for dictating customs and fashion.
Maristela (Lilia Cabral) is the matriarch of the family. mother of Julian (Fábio Assunção), she opposes his marriage to Clarice (Carol Castro) as soon as she discovers that the character is already the mother of Beatrice (Duda Santos) — left in Petrópolis, while her mother went in search of better financial conditions for the family.
However, an accident causes the young girl to lose her memory, which makes the rich woman decide to create a false past for her daughter-in-law. Will it be like this, that Clarice will gain a sister, Zélia (Leticia Colin), and a new daughter, Bia (Maisa) — result of Juliano’s affair with Valeria (Julia Stockler), the character’s lover who died accidentally.
Living in a web of lies, Clarice will command the Magnifique School for Girls with the help of Zélia. Even though she appears to be happy, deep down, the character will live in deep anguish caused by the gaps in her memory.
Meanwhile, Beatriz will grow up with the certainty that she was abandoned as a child. But, upon discovering that her mother is alive, the teenager will leave Petrópolis to look for her in Rio de Janeiro.
It will be on this path that she will meet Beto (Pedro Novaes), Bia’s boyfriend, with whom Beatriz will fall in love.
