Gartner: By 2026, 25% of people will spend at least an hour a day in the metaverse

Research firm Gartner predicts that in four years, 25% of people will be spending at least one hour a day in the metaverse, whether it’s work, shopping, entertainment, or school.

Gartner experts predict that over the next few years, many brands will create and adapt their infrastructure for the metaverse – 30% of organizations will provide services and products in the metaverse.

Gartner Vice President Marty Resnick believes that many companies will need to consider collaboration to create a single virtual environment for user experience. He noted:

“Companies are already creating ways for users to replicate their lives in digital worlds. From attending virtual classrooms to buying digital land and building virtual homes, all these activities will eventually take place in a single environment – a metaverse that will include different technologies from different companies.

Recall that last week the first official marriage ceremony took place on the Decentraland virtual reality platform. The marriage certificate was issued in the form of an NFT.
