A gas station attendant threw gasoline and set fire to a customer at a fuel station in Curitiba, Paraná, on Saturday (18).
In the video, obtained by CNN , Paulo Sérgio Esperançeta attacks the customer after an argument. The employee would have used a lighter to start the flames. In the images, it is not possible to determine the object used.
Another frentist intervenes in the situation and manages to put out the flames with an extinguisher.
The Civil Police confirmed that the frentist remains at large and that the investigation of the case is ongoing.
Witnesses, family members and other people involved will be heard this week. According to the police, the client Caio Murilo Lopes dos Santos is hospitalized and is not at risk of death.
In a note, lawyer Marcel Bento Amaral, representative of the gas station, said that the employee has already been dismissed and that the commercial establishment offers support to the investigations.
