Next Tuesday, April 26, the electronic platform for the reception of applications for fuel subsidies will open, which ranges from 40 – 55 euros. The submission of applications will be done depending on the VAT number.
The details of the procedure are described in the Joint Ministerial Decision published in the Official Gazette and according to which the applications of the beneficiaries in the special application are made in parts according to the last number of their VAT number, as follows:
26.4.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 0 and 1
• 27.4.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 2 and 3
• 28.4.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 4 and 5
• 29.4.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 6 and 7
• 30.4.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 8 and 9
• From 1.5.2022 onwards, it is possible to submit applications, regardless of the expiring ID number. of natural persons.
The access to the electronic platform will be done using the TaxisNet codes. The applicant completes and updates his / her contact details and, in particular, his / her e-mail address and mobile phone number. He also fills in his personal bank account number.
After submitting applications, automatic data for the vehicle (insurance, road tax) and the driver (income, etc.) will be obtained.
The application steps
The JMC describes the steps for the credit of the petrol allowance:
1. Through the electronic platform, the beneficiaries apply for the issuance of a digital debit card to which the amount of financial assistance is credited. The digital card is issued by a bank
2. The entry of the beneficiary in the electronic platform through gov.gr is done with the codes taxisnet
3. After entering the application the applicant fills in and updates his contact details and, in particular, the e-mail address (email) and the mobile phone number, and requests the issuance of the digital debit card and the credit of the relevant amount to her.
4. After the completion of the application and if his status as a beneficiary is verified, the Information Society sends an approval decision to the bank and immediately transfers the amount of money corresponding to the beneficiary.
5. The bank then informs the beneficiary about the procedure to be followed for the activation of the card and the credit of the amount of money, sending: a) a text message (sms) to the mobile phone number declared by the beneficiary in the special application, with integrated instructions and b) e-mail to the e-mail address stated by the beneficiary in the special application with a built-in link to activate the digital debit card. After entering the above link, the beneficiary creates a personal password and receives a confirmation code, with a new text message (sms), in order to activate his digital debit card.
6. The amount credited to the debit card can be used exclusively by the beneficiary for the purchase of fuel and it is not possible to transfer to a third party, except the above or to withdraw it.
7. The digital debit card remains activated until 31.7.2022, after which the credit institution or the financial institution is obliged to deactivate it immediately.
8. For the beneficiaries who choose to use a digital debit card, the amount of financial support is increased by five (5) euros
The amounts
50 euros for car owners and 35 euros for motorcycle owners with main residence in the Regions:
• North Aegean,
• South Aegean,
• Ionian islands,
• Crete,
• Regional Unit of Islands of the Attica Region,
• Regional Unit of Sporades of the Region of Thessaly,
• Thassos Regional Unit of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
• Samothrace Island of the Regional Unit of Evros,
• Ammouliani Island of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki
40 euros for car owners and 30 euros for motorcycle owners with main residence in the rest of Greece
Beneficiaries and conditions
Beneficiaries are employees, civil servants and self-employed, tax residents of Greece with a declared family income of the tax year 2020 up to 30,000 euros. Only they can apply for the gasoline allowance for the months of April, May and June 2022.
Each vehicle and motorcycle can be declared by a single natural person, who has full ownership or co-ownership on the vehicle and the motorcycle or is a lessee under a leasing contract. Each natural person can declare only one vehicle. Prerequisites are the vehicle to be:
• in circulation,
• insured and
• no traffic fees are due for this.
For the purpose of verifying the conditions, the information system of the application obtains information about the vehicle and motorcycle-moped and its owner using the following online services:
• Vehicle details and owner profile from A.A.D.E.,
• Data on Traffic Fees from A.A.D.E.,
• Finding vehicle insurance (Auxiliary Insurance Fund),
• Income and residence data for the fuel subsidy from A.A.D.E., for the control of private use of vehicle, motorcycle-moped, insurance, payment of traffic fees and the control of the declared family income
Ways of crediting financial aid
The petrol allowance is credited to the beneficiary either:
• on a digital debit card, issued specifically for this purpose by a bank or
• in a bank account of his choice.
Credit procedure in a bank account
• Through the electronic application platform, the beneficiaries can request the credit of the allowance in a bank account of their choice.
• The beneficiary enters the platform with the taxisnet codes, fills in and updates his contact details (email, mobile phone) while he also fills in his personal bank account number and requests the credit of the relevant amount to this account.
Upon completion of the application and if his status as a beneficiary is verified, the Information Society forwards an approval decision to the bank for the purpose of crediting the amount of financial assistance, and then transfers to the credit institution the amount corresponding to the beneficiary.
Issuance of a fuel card at the K.E.P.
The application process and the issuance of the fuel card can be carried out through the K.E.P., by a certified employee, upon a relevant request of the natural person-beneficiary, without the observance of the deadlines based on VAT
The employee of K.E.P. enters the special application and enters in the fields that appear in the system:
• the VAT number of the natural person,
• the registration number of the vehicle, motorcycle-moped, confirming that the declared is owned or co-owned, or leased vehicle that has been leased to him, registered in the latter case and the TIN of the lessor company,
• the contact details of the natural person, in particular the e-mail address and mobile phone number, and is requested on behalf of the natural person either the issuance of the digital debit card and the credit of the relevant amount for or the credit of the relevant amount to the bank account of the requesting natural person, which he declares to the employee.
The above procedure for the issuance of the digital debit card or the declaration of the desired bank account of the beneficiary may be carried out with the authorization of the representative of the natural person.
