Gasoline price will have R$ 0.47 more in taxes and ethanol, R$ 0.02 more

The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, announced this Tuesday (28th) that gasoline will be re-charged by R$0.47 and ethanol by R$0.02. The price of diesel, on the other hand, should register a drop, since there is no re-encumbrance until December 2023.

On Monday (27) the ministry announced the end of tax relief in taxes such as PIS/Cofins and Cide, but details on the remodeling of charges are lacking.

The press conference was to explain the changes that will be made in this return of tax collection and had the participation of the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira.

Reduction

Just this Tuesday, Petrobras announced a reduction in the prices of gasoline and diesel sold to distributors. Gasoline will go from R$ 3.31 to R$ 3.18 per liter, a reduction of R$ 0.13 per liter, or 3.9% .

This Tuesday’s announcement comes amid the government’s increased expectations for a drop in the price of gasoline at refineries, to offset part of the fuel re-encumbrance.
