Corinthians organized fans, Gaviões da Fiel, managed to demobilize two roadblocks in the state of São Paulo that were promoted by supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) after defeat in the elections for President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) .
Corinthians fans, who travel to Rio de Janeiro for the game against Flamengo this Wednesday (2), broke a blockade at Marginal Tietê, in the capital of São Paulo, on Tuesday night (1st).
The demonstration took place at the height of Ponte das Bandeiras. After the release of traffic and expulsion of Bolsonaro supporters, Gaviões extended a banner on the bridge with the words “We are for Democracy”.
The fans continued their journey towards Rio de Janeiro and, on the morning of this Wednesday (2), dispersed another blockade. This time, on the Presidente Dutra highway, in the region of the municipality of Jacareí.

Gaviões also removed posters calling for military intervention and against the ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), which had been placed by the protesters responsible for the blockade.
THE CNN contacted the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP) to comment on what had happened. In a statement, the Military Police stated “that it is working with the progressive use of force and proportionate measures and has managed to clear the roads, with the priority of the solution through dialogue.

“The institution’s orientation is that the population, when witnessing an agglomeration, that they call the PM, who will make the negotiation”, added the SSP.
