Gaza: A father who lost his son because of malnutrition struggles to save his other children

Ibrahim al-Najar said he had lost his five-year-old son Naim because of the malnutrition affecting Gaza. A year later, he still mourns while trying to ensure that his other children do not have the same fate. “This kid will follow him,” said Palestinian, a former taxi driver, showing his 10 -year -old son Farah. “For a month, he loses his senses. This kid was once twice as much as he is now. ” Najar, 43, showed the medical certificate indicating that Naim died on March 28, 2024. The whole family has been displaced by nearly two years of Israeli air bombings. The Najar family ate three meals a day before the war broke out in October 2023, but now they can only dream of simple foods such as bread, rice, fruits and vegetables.
