Gazprom: Reduced gas supply in Germany by 60% in two days

The Russian energy company reduced it to 67 million cubic meters per day Gazprom the volume of gas supplied to Germany via the Nord Stream pipeline 1.

The new reduction in gas supplies came after the company had announced the day before yesterday, Tuesday, that it would reduce the maximum daily amount of gas supplies to 100 million cubic meters, from 167 million cubic meters.

Overall, the latest cut represents a reduction of about 60% in gas supplies to Germany in just two days.

Siemens Energy announced on Tuesday that one of its gas turbines Nord Stream 1, which was recently repaired in Canada, can not currently be transported by ship from Montreal due to sanctions imposed on Russia. Nord Stream 1 is the main pipeline through which gas supplies are made to Germany.

The compression unit has a problem

Russian state-owned Gazprom has cited delays due to the repair of the gas compression unit as the reason for the deliveries of reduced volumes of gas, although the competent German service disputed this claim.

German finance minister accuses Russia of trying to raise concerns and raise prices natural gas with this move, adding, however, that it is still possible to market alternative gas supplies, but at a high price. The German gas storage facility is about 56% full, according to the DPA, citing the APE.

In a message last night, Robert Hubeck called on the public to save energy. “It’s time to dump her and move on. “Every kilowatt hour helps in this situation,” he said. Although the situation is serious, energy supply in Germany is not in danger, he added.
