GCM guard gets involved in fight and destroys driver's car in Greater SP; see video

A municipal guard destroyed a driver's car during an argument last Sunday afternoon (25), in Barueri, a municipality in Greater São Paulo.

In a note, the Cotia Public Security Secretariat states that the case is being investigated by the Internal Affairs Department of the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) and was registered with the Civil Police of the municipality of Barueri.

In the discussion, which took place near Estrada São Fernando, a 52-year-old driver and an off-duty municipal guard were involved, who had his weapon collected and was removed from operational activities until the Internal Affairs work was completed.

In a video viral on social media, it is possible to see that the guard gets angry with the driver, while the woman who accompanied him holds a gun and watches the action. However, the fight intensifies and the guard starts destroying parts of the vehicle.

According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP), the case was registered as a threat, insult, damage and de facto and is being investigated by the city's 1st DP. The police team requested tests from the Legal Medical Institute (IML) on the victim and analyzed the images presented.

Investigations continue to clarify the facts.
