The Gross Domestic Product of the euro zone stood at -0.3% in the first quarter of the year, improving the estimated -0.6% and -0.7% from the previous quarter.
The annualized GDP fell in the same period to -1.3%, improving compared to the -4.9% of the previous quarter and compared to the -1.8% estimated for today by the experts. This is the fifth consecutive quarter in negative for the indicator, but the one that shows its best result since the fourth quarter of 2019.

The EUR / USD has not been moved by the data and remains close to the lows of the day recorded in the European open around 1.2164. At time of writing, the pair is trading above 1.2175, losing 0.12% daily.
