Today, October 14, Geely officially introduced its updated Tugella crossover of the 2022 model range in Russia, which will soon appear at local dealers. Moreover, the manufacturer not only told and showed how the car will look like for Russia, but also fully disclosed the configuration and prices, which will be extremely useful for a potential buyer – the basic version of the car is sold for 4 million rubles, which, taking into account the impressive list of advantages, is quite attractive price. And, of course, even in the base, the crossover looks pretty rich.
Externally, the car has not changed very much, but fans will immediately notice the difference – on the front side of the vehicle you can see a bumper with black vertical inserts that give the crossover a more sporty look. The radiator grille has changed a little, and at the back you can see an updated bumper with four exhaust pipes – previously there were two of them. Thanks to this, the “feed” of the updated car looks very attractive, especially against the background of competitors with only one pipe. And in the Flagship Sport package, a potential buyer will also receive a two-tone body color with a black roof, moldings and a spoiler over the fifth door.
Of course, the interior of the urban crossover began to look more luxurious. For example, now the interior is complemented by a black ceiling, there is a fairly high-quality audio system with 12 speakers (one of them acts as a subwoofer) and a very modern feature – a projection display. It is worth noting that on some cars for a hundred or more thousand dollars, the projection display is not always found or comes in an option format. There is also a large 12.3-inch multimedia system touchscreen display for comfortable control of music, navigation and more.
Among smart technologies, it is worth highlighting the presence of a full-fledged circular camera in Tugella with parking sensors and intelligent cruise control. These are the functions after which no one wants to change to a less modern car. Additionally, there are even assistants for emergency braking and driving on a slope, all kinds of rain and light sensors, the function of automatically switching from low beam to high beam and back. Those drivers who live in locations with a cold climate should pay attention to the fact that the car’s side mirrors, steering wheel, windshield and even washer nozzles are equipped with a heating function.
Under the hood, everything is more or less identical to the old model, but of course, why change something that works so well. The new version of the Tugella has a two-liter turbocharged engine with 238 horsepower, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic with all-wheel drive and five driving modes (there are two separate modes for snow and off-road). For an urban crossover, the power is excessive, even with a large margin. Now to the prices – Geely Tugella 2022 in the basic configuration, which is called Luxury, is sold for 3,999,990 rubles. The average configuration in this case was called Flagship – it is sold for 4,199,990 rubles, plus there is a Flagship Sport version for 4,299,990 rubles. The exact date of the appearance of the car at dealers is now unknown, but it will probably happen literally any day.
