Gelid Solutions has launched full color backlit extension cables. Gelid Astra ARGB cables are available in three options: 24-pin ATX connectors, 8-pin ATX connectors, and 8-pin PCIe auxiliary power connectors (this cable has two connectors on each end). They cost 36, 32 and 31 euros respectively.
The braided cables are complemented by a braided fiber optic module that acts as a backlight diffuser on the addressable full color LEDs. The cable with 24-pin connectors has 24 such LEDs, the other two cables have 16 each. According to the manufacturer, the cables are easy to connect and bend well. The cable thickness including the fiber optic module is 20 mm.
The backlight is powered by 3-pin ARGB cables. All modern control systems promoted by motherboard manufacturers are supported.
