Gemini: 63% of Americans are interested in cryptocurrencies

According to a survey conducted by the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, more than half of the surveyed US citizens are interested in cryptocurrencies, are ready to study the principles of their work and invest in them.

Gemini surveyed 3,000 Americans. 63% of respondents showed interest in digital currencies. Gemini CEO Noah Perlman called this a “diversification” of the crypto investor base that will drive the market’s long-term development.

About 14% of survey participants already own digital assets, and 13% plan to acquire them in the next twelve months. Therefore, Gemini experts suggest that the number of cryptocurrency holders may double within a year.

Meanwhile, 23% of respondents said they had no interest in cryptocurrencies. At the same time, 77% of respondents said that they would like to study the topic of cryptocurrencies in more detail, regardless of whether they own them or not. Based on this data, Pearlman emphasized the importance of education in the cryptocurrency field.

Trading platforms that prioritize user safety are making cryptocurrencies more accessible and attractive to people, Perlman said. He added that digital assets should become one of the key components of the investment portfolio. Therefore, gaining additional knowledge about blockchain and cryptocurrencies will remove barriers to entry into this market.

Note that millennials are particularly interested in Bitcoin, considering cryptocurrencies to be the best investment compared to traditional assets. In addition, according to a recent study by Visa, about a quarter of credit card users in Latin America have expressed a desire to pay with cryptocurrencies.
