Gemini chat boot turned into a tutor

Google introduced the Guided Learning tool in the Gemini platform. Now a chatbot can act as a refiter.

The service is developed “not just to issue answers”, it helps users “deeply understand the material”.

“Working in close cooperation with external learning experts, we came to the conclusion that a simple improvement in industrial deposits is not enough to create a significant tool for mastering knowledge,” the vice-president of training and sustainable development Maurin Haymans wrote in the company’s blog.

The release took place a week after launching a similar mode from Openai – Study Mode. It also helps to work out tasks in stages, and not just get a ready answer.

Both companies presented tools against the backdrop of fears that chat bots can undermine the educational process, issuing ready-made answers without the participation of the user.

With the help of Guided Learning Gemini, it will step by step and adjust the explanations to the needs of a particular user. The function uses images, diagrams, videos and interactive quiz so that the user can better learn the material and test his knowledge instead of obtaining a ready -made answer.

“Whether it is preparation for the enzymes exam, an essay draft about the importance of a bee population for our food systems or the study of your passion for photography – Guided Learning becomes your partner in joint thought, helping to understand the essence at every stage,” Haymans said.

Google also announced work on improving the training capabilities of the Gemini system. Now the chat boot will automatically add images, diagrams and videos with YouTube to the answers to simplify the understanding of complex topics.

Users can also ask AI to create flash cards and textbooks based on the results of Victorin or other educational materials.

The corporation provided a free annual subscription to the Google Ai Pro plan for students from the USA, Japan, Indonesia, Korea and Brazil. It includes advanced capabilities like access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Notebooklm, Veo 3, Deep Research and other tools.

In June, Google introduced the Jeener to help in programming. He understands Prompts in the usual language when working with the terminal.
