Genesis Digital Assets to launch a 300 MW datacenter in Texas

A large American mining company Genesis Digital Assets plans to build a mining data center in Texas. The data center capacity will be 300 MW.

The new datacenter will feature “green infrastructure” and high efficiency. The center’s carbon footprint will be reasonably low, thanks to energy use recommended by the Trustworthy Electricity Supply Council of Texas (ERCOT). 42% of the electricity provided by the organization is generated from renewable sources.

According to Abdumalik Mirakhmedov, co-founder and executive chairman of Genesis Digital Assets, the use of the most environmentally friendly technologies is part of the company’s strategy of “rapid growth”.

Genesis Digital Assets is one of the largest mining companies in the United States. At the beginning of October 2021, the company operated mining equipment with a total capacity of 170 MW and a total hash rate of 3.8 Eh / s. At the same time, over the next 12 months, Genesis plans to commission equipment for another 9.4 Eh / s.

At the end of September, it was reported that Genesis Digital Assets raised $ 431 million in another round of funding.
