George of Wales celebrate 11 years old on July 22nd and For the occasion, Kensington Palace shared a new photo of the child, taken – as is now customary – by Kate Middleton. An unusual black and white portrait that shows the image of a (now) young boy, increasingly resembling his father William at the same age.

A photo that was already expected on the evening of Sunday 21 July, when the hashtag «princegeorge» began to grow on X, but the times of publication of the photos have changed, and today Kensington Palace prefers to release the unpublished shots on the day of the celebrations and not a few hours in advance as happened a few months ago. Best wishes to George also arrived from Buckingham Palace, which re-shared the photo published by the Princes of Wales.
No rumors about the celebrations, but they will certainly be in the family as per tradition. Kate Middleton, William and their three children (in addition to George there are Charlotte and Louis) are in their country residence of Anmer Hall, not far from the home of the parents of the Princess of Wales, and it is here that the little prince will be celebrated. In public, however, in recent weeks he has been seen often. From the celebrations for the Trooping The Colour, last June, coincided with Kate Middleton’s public return after her cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment, at the European Football Championship final between England and Spain, where George’s disappointment at the defeat of the British national team did not go unnoticed. No disappointment, certainly, for the birthday party, which is usually taken care of by grandmother Carole Middleton, a party expert.
There are already those who swear, in the meantime, that this will be George’s last birthday as a child, before participating more actively in public life as second in line to the throne. A rather unlikely eventuality if you look closely: William and Kate want their son to have a normal life that lasts as long as possible.
