The Vice President of the Republic, Geraldo Alckmin, helped to rescue a press professional who fell ill and passed out during an event that took place in Manaus, this Friday (1st).
The man, who is an employee of EBC (Empresa Brasil de Comunicação), suffered a drop in blood pressure and was treated by an ambulance that was at the scene. He was taken to the hospital, underwent tests and is now resting at the hotel, according to the media outlet.
The press conference where the incident occurred was taking place after the 313th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Suframa, the authority responsible for the Manaus Free Trade Zone.
Alckmin attended the event as a representative of the Federal Government while President Lula is representing Brazil at the 8th Summit of CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States), which is taking place in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
