German arrested for carrying child pornography material in Rio

German Rainer Adolph, 71 years old, was arrested red-handed in Curicica, in Jacarepaguá, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, this Tuesday (27), suspected of producing pornographic videos with children and teenagers inside the house.

In the action, police officers from the Police Station for the Repression of Organized Criminal Actions and Special Inquiries (Draco-IE), the Police Station for Children and Adolescent Victims (DCAV) and the Undersecretariat of Intelligence (SSINTE), seized extensive child pornography material in the house of the suspect.

Sexual paraphernalia, children's clothing, computers and storage hardware containing images of child sexual abuse were also found at the scene. According to the agents, approximately 2 Terabytes of content were found, with more than 30 thousand files, some encrypted.

In Brazil since 2000, Adolph has a work visa to stay in the country. He was arrested for the crime provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA), of acquiring, possessing or storing, by any means, a photograph, video or other form of recording that contains an explicit or pornographic sex scene involving a child or adolescent. The penalty is one to four years in prison and a fine.

However, investigations continue to investigate other crimes committed by him, such as rape of a vulnerable person and sale of pornography. The suspicion is that he sold the material to people in Europe.

Investigators discovered the German's participation in the crime after the arrest of another suspected pedophile, Felipe Nunes Ferreira, in January, in the same region.
