Attack on the Russian president Vladimir Putin released German Economy Minister Robert Habeck. He accused him of “duplicity” and playing a “game”, after Moscow cut the amount of gas supplied to Berlin through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline citing a technical problem.
Earlier yesterday the Russian energy giant Gazprom announced that it has cut gas supplies to Germany via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline from 40% to 20% of its capacity.
“There are no technical reasons for the reduction in deliveries,” Mr Habeck told the German Agency, adding that “the turbine is ready for delivery to Russia”.
He added that the documents for its export from Siemens Energy have been completed, but Moscow is refusing to provide the required documents for its import. Siemens has assured that it is ready to transfer the spare part to Russia as soon as it receives the required documents.
“We’re taking precautions to get through the winter”
THE Russia “it violates its contractual obligations and blames others” for this, insisted Mr. Hambek according to APE-MPE. “Putin is playing a two-faced game. He is trying to weaken the great support for Ukraine and divide our society. To achieve this, it causes uncertainty and increases prices. We face it with unity and focused action. We are taking precautions to get through the winter.”
Mr. Hambek explained that the construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, the filling of storage tanks and the reduction of gas consumption are the key means for this.
