“All options are on the table in terms of sanctions against Russia if it attacks Ukraine and that includes the Nord Stream 2 pipeline,” German Foreign Minister Alena Berbock told Reuters today.
Western powers are united in preparing an “unprecedented” package of sanctions against Moscow, Burbok said in a speech to the Munich Security Conference.
“We, Germany, are prepared to pay a high financial price for this,” he said. “In this context, all options are on the table for me and Nord Stream 2 as well.”
Russia did not send a delegation to the summit for the first time in decades, but Burbok sent a message to the Kremlin through her speech: “Security can not be to the detriment of other countries.”
