The candidate of the Christian Union apologized for his mistakes (CDU / CSU) Armin Lasset insisting on forming a “Jamaica” coalition (CDU / CSU – Greens – Liberals).
“I’m very sorry” for my mistakes, he said specifically, o Armin Lassett, according to the APE-MPE, addressing the Parliamentary Group of the two parties stating that the Liberals (FDP) do not want a “lantern” coalition (SPD – Greens – Liberals).
Speaking at the closed-door meeting of the Parliamentary Group, Mr Lassett admitted to mistakes he made during the pre-election period, while expressing his regret for those deputies who failed to be re-elected. He noted, however, that “those who voted for the Union are telling us not to leave Jamaica so quickly” and added that “there are strong messages from the FDP towards the Union”.
During the meeting, Ralph Brinkhaus was re-elected leader of the Parliamentary Group with 85% of the vote, after a previous consultation with the alleged candidates for the position, the Minister of Health Jens Span and the two former candidates for the leadership of the CDU Friedrich Mertz and Norbert Retgen, that the new head of the K.O. will stay in place only until April and not for a year as planned. Referring to the ruling coalition, Mr Brinkhaus said he was ready for talks with the Greens and the FDP, “but not at any cost”.
On the FDP side, Vice President Wolfgang Kubicki predicted that Armin Lasset “would not make it through the week” due to the ever-increasing pressure he receives. “There are demands for resignation, even from high-ranking executives. “And that will only increase,” he told NDR earlier tonight.
