The German trade association BGA announced that a survey of its members showed that most expected an economic slowdown as a result of the conflict in Ukraine.
He added, however, that the companies supported the government’s sanctions against Russia.
“Businesses are holding the line and supporting the German government’s stance on sanctions against Russia,” said BGA President Dirk Jandura.
“The current sanctions also affect us,” he added. “Nevertheless, the sanctions are correct.”
About 62% of the hundreds of BGA member companies surveyed were expecting a slowdown as a result of the conflict, and 32% worry that the economic recovery will be halted.
