Germany donates R$1 billion to environmental actions in Brazil

The Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, Svenja Schulze, announced this Monday (30) a donation of 200 million euros, more than R$ 1 billion reais, for projects to conserve forests and contain climate change in the first 100 days of the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

According to Marina Silva, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, part of this resource will be used to combat hunger among the Yanomami.
