The German government is considering buying Patriot systems to deliver them to Ukraine. However, because they are US weapons and the US has imposed restrictions on the weapons taken by Kiev, Trump’s approval is required. The Bild newspaper wrote that Berlin could fund two Patriot systems, although their surrender is still subject to the approval of the US government under President Donald Trump. Patriot missiles are considered critical to the protection of Ukraine from Russian air strikes and Kiev currently has only four of these systems.
