The German government is paying for Ukraine to access the Eutelsat satellite service, as Europe is looking for alternatives for the respective Starlink satellite of Elon Musk. Eutelsat’s Managing Director, Eva Berneke, told Reuters that the company provided the high -speed internet satellite service in Ukraine for about a year through a German distributor. Speaking yesterday at the company’s headquarters in Paris, Berneke stressed that the benefit was funded by the German government, but refused to report the cost.
