Germany-Focus: Germany: FDP leader K. Lindner to be next finance minister

FDP MP Marie-Agnes Strak-Zimmermann is destined for the defense ministry, while the Liberals will be given the justice ministry, along with Volker Wissing or Marco Bushman. The Greens are expected to take over the Ministry of Rural Development, which may be expanded with responsibilities for the Environment, with Steffi Grune, and the Ministry of Family, with Catherine Goering-Eckart. The Ministry of Development Aid will be assigned to Berbel Kofler of the SPD, while the Chancellor will be Olaf Soltz’s close associate Wolfgang Smith.
