Germany: Security level raised at NATO base due to ‘potential threat’

The NATO base in the German city of Geilenkirchen raised its security level “based on information about the existence of a potential threat”. “All non-essential workers have been sent home as a precautionary measure,” the statement issued by the military base said, without giving further details. “The safety of our staff is a top priority.
