SPD leader Lars Klingbail has called on former Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder to end his business dealings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Welt.
He expects a clear demeanor from Schroeder these days, Klingbeil wrote on Saturday. “He condemned the illegal war in Ukraine. But: This war starts exclusively with Putin,” he said.
And so there can only be one logical conclusion: “You are not doing business with an attacker, with a belligerent like Putin. As a former federal chancellor, you never act completely privately.
