Germany, twelve year old killed by two peers

A shocking turning point in the case of the disappearance of a twelve-year-old German girl, Luise F., from Freudenberg (North Rhine-Westphalia), whose traces had been lost since Saturday afternoon. Two peers, today, they confessed to killing her, stabbing her to deathas he reports afp.

Luise had gone to visit a friend, Saturday, but on the way home she disappeared. The worried parents raised the alarm, and the search began, involving dozens of police officers, a helicopter, drones and dogs. The next day, the 12-year-old’s body was found in a wooded area not far from her home.

“The little girl is died of multiple knife wounds and subsequent blood loss», explained the public prosecutor of Koblenz, Mario Mannweiler, at the press conference, adding that «there is no element that suggests a sexual crime».

Two girls, aged 12 and 13, who knew Luise, “issued statements on the matter and, in the end, they admitted to the crime», said Florian Locker, head of the homicide section of the Koblenz police.

The police did not provide any further information, because the girls are too young to be prosecuted for their crimes: in Germany, only from the age of 14 are you held accountable for your own prosecutions.

Investigators have not yet found the knife or knives used in the attack. “This is of course a very unusual and shocking act, even for us» explained Mannweiler to reporters.
