Germany: Two more polls show rise for SPD

Two more surveys confirm its upward trend Social Democratic Party (SPD) during its final phase election campaign: The first, of the ZDF, finds for the first time equality with the conservative Christian Democrats and Christian Socialists (CDU / CSU). The second, the YouGov Institute, is a two-point lead for the Social Democrats.

In both polls, respondents clearly say they prefer the Social Democrat for a new chancellor. Olaf Solts.

According to ZDF, the party of the SPD candidate for chancellor Olaf Solz wins three percentage points units compared to a similar poll two weeks ago and thus equates for the first time in his polls with the Christian Democrats and the Christian Socialists, as broadcast by APE BPE.

Thus, if the Federal Parliament (Bundestag) elections were held next Sunday, the SPD would reach the 22%. Christian Democrats and Christian Socialists would also receive 22%, although they have a loss of four percentage points. The Greens would receive 20% (+ 1% compared to the previous ZDF survey). The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party remains unchanged at 11%, the Liberal Party (FDP) would receive 10% (-1%) and the Left (Die Linke) 6% (-1%).

To the question who / who do they consider most suitable for chancellor, the respondents answered: the Social Democrat (SPD) Olaf Solz 65% (+ 6%), while 30% consider it inappropriate. Christian Democrat and Christian Socialist (CDU / CSU) candidate Armin Lassett is considered suitable by only 25% (-2%), while 71% consider him unsuitable for chancellor. Finally, 22% of the respondents consider the candidate of the Greens, Analena Berbok, suitable for chancellor (-1%) and 74% consider her unsuitable.

Meanwhile, a new survey by the YouGov Polling Institute confirms what a RTL poll A few days ago: Olaf Solz and the SPD can look forward to chancellery.

According to this poll, the Social Democrats would receive 24% (+ 8% compared to a similar YouGov poll a month ago) if the election took place next Sunday. Christian Democrats and Christian Socialists, 22% (-6%). The Greens, 16% (unchanged percentage), the Liberal Party (FDP) 13% (+ 1%), the Alternative for Germany (AfD) 11% (-1%) and the Left (Die Linke) would receive 8% (unchanged also).

If the people could elect the chancellor directly, 26% would vote for Olaf Soltz, the SPD candidate. FDP President Christian Lindner, 10%, followed by Greens candidate Analena Berbock with 9%. Only 8% would vote for Armin Lassett as Chancellor Alice Weidel of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) would vote for 5% if she could directly elect Chancellor and Left President Janine Wiesler 1%. 26% would not vote for any of them.

It is noted that the other polls when asking this question only mention Soltz, Lasset and Burbock.
