Get ready for crazy travels in Siberia – Serious Sam goes to Russia

Last night, as promised by publisher Devolver Digital, Croteam and Timelock officially announced a major expansion for Serious Sam 4, which will provide gamers with the opportunity to go on an exciting journey with Sam Stones through the harsh Russian lands. Actually, the audience assumed that the latest teaser, published in December, hinted at Russia, and now this has been officially confirmed. At the same time, the developers emphasize that the add-on called Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is completely independent – it is not just a few additional missions, but a full-fledged new look at the familiar series of video games.

In the description of the new video dedicated to the add-on, the developers told about the plotline of the Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem storyline – in the DLC, Sam tries to catch the traitor General Brandom, which leads him into the very heart of Russia – Siberia. Yes, Croteam believes that this region is the heart of Russia. And, of course, the developers drew local monsters and various opponents to match the location – completely new opponents, as well as fairly large bosses, will be connected to the already familiar Horde in attempts to tear Sam to pieces. On the other hand, Sam himself will not remain in debt – he was given the latest weapons and many gadgets capable of destroying even a gigantic monster (talking about the AK and the experimental crossbow “Neptune”).

Also, the scriptwriters (yes, Serious Sam also has them) added a lot of interesting stories and secrets to the virtual world that will make exploring the locations more fun. For example, a gamer will be able to meet several completely unexpected characters, as well as learn some secrets about Tunguska.

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, a standalone expansion pack, launches on Steam on January 25th.
