Gianni Morandi discharged from hospital: “The worst is over”

Gianni Morandi finally returns home: the singer was, in fact, discharged in the late morning yesterday from the Large Burns Center of the Bufalini hospital in Cesena where he was hospitalized since 11 March following a domestic accident that caused him several burns to the hands and legs. His health conditions, as reported by the Ausl Romagna, are good, and the singer himself could not help but thank through his social profiles. “Someone from heaven wanted to save me” said Morandi, who had suffered burns on 15% of his body by burning brush on his estate.

After 25 days of hospitalization, the green light finally arrived from the team led by Dr. Davide Melandri who assisted Morandi during his hospitalization at Bufalini: “From today I’ll have to do a lot of rehabilitation to fully recover the use of my right hand, but the worst is over. Hurray, thank you all »said Morandi who, over the last few weeks, has been able to count on the support of thousands of fans including his friend Sinisa Mihajlovic, among the first to wish him a speedy recovery.

The hospital stay was longer than initially believed, so much so that every day, at the change of bandages, the singer had to be sedated to keep the pain in check. The accident occurred almost a month ago while the artist was working his land in San Lazzaro di Savena, in the province of Bologna. Falling on the flames, Morandi had sheltered himself from the fire with his hands, making him fear the worst, luckily averted thanks to the rescue and the transfer to the hospital in Cesena. As he himself said in a video shot by his wife Anna while walking in the corridors of the ward, on the other hand, he “He’s a lucky boy.”
